Qatar 2022 World Cup

Placemaking / Guidelines

Arup, public realm master planners for Qatar’s 2022 World Cup required a visual language for their Spatial Plan Guidelines.

To demonstrate a 'work in progress', tilt shift photography was adopted to create intriguing model like environments of Qatar's changing urban landscape. Free lensing was also used to capture night life.

A colour was allocated to each of the five sections, the palette suggestive of the local sunsets and the Qatari national flag. The A4 landscape format and font were adopted from the existing brand guidelines.
